Last week (July 18th), Connie’s grandparents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Ed and Josie fell in love at a young age and obviously it was a love that has stood the test of time. When I first met them, they were already past the 50 year mark.
One thing that is really amazing about them is that they are really doing well. Physically and mentally, they are very sharp for their age. The simple fact that they still enjoy life together in their own home and are able to drive themselves. What a blessing! They’ve spent so much of their time helping their friends and relatives with special needs. Indeed they have spent so much energy taking care of others.
So thank you for your example Maw Maw and Paw Paw. Thank you for the hugs and kind words. Thank you for being sweet to my children and my wife. Thank you for being an example of marital commitment to future generations.
